UKUHLOMISA
DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME

The Sizwe Sponsorships and Corporate Social Investment Strategy encompasses
socio-economic upliftment, education and development. To ensure that these strategies are achieved we developed the Sizwe ´Ukuhlomisa’ Development Programme. 

 

The objective of the Ukuhlomisa programme is to create innovative initiatives and partnerships with appropriately identified schools, universities and corporates where we know funding and sponsorships will be worthwhile and result in community upliftment
and economic improvement.

Our education initiatives will focus on Secondary, Tertiary institutions and ultimately the Workplace (corporates) where these candidates will eventually be in such an empowered position to themselves “pay it forward”

SECONDARY LEVEL

  • Partner with high performance track record secondary schools to participate in Ukuhlmisa Development Programme.
     

  • Along with patrons identifies high potential young people from disadvantaged backgrounds in these schools and affording them opportunities to realise that potential.
     

  • Assist with funding of education and additional support initiatives to improve numeracy and literacy and overall academic performance.
     

  • Identify specific fields where we can assist these candidates to focus their career path development on.
     

  • Three areas of focus: Financial Markets; Accounting and Medicine

TERTIARY LEVEL

  • At this level we can target tertiary students studying towards graduate disciplines and continue with the students identified on the Ukuhlomisa Development Programme from our Secondary level.
     

  • Our focus being students with an interest in Finance and Financial Markets, Accounting, Medicine etc.
     

  • Selected high performing candidates tuition and selected initiatives are identified which is covered.

ULTIMATELY IN THE WORKPLACE 

  • Through Ukuhlomisa Development Programme, Sizwe Medical fund has partnered with these individuals throughout their education. Within the workplace through Ukuhlomisa we will pay half day salaries of graduates during their internship. Sizwe Medical Fund will approach potential corporates in the related industries to partner with who will accommodate candidates for on-the-job exposure to the industry.
     

  • At Sizwe Medical Fund we want to partner with our candidates through most of their life experiences. With the aim of uplifting our communities which we ourselves come from and contributing to remedying social inequalities which are so evident in impoverished communities.
