In the medical aid industry we are all acutely aware of the fact that a healthier member base results in a healthier medical fund, with members’ risk portfolios being reduced in the process.
At Sizwe we take our company ethos, ‘Your Health in Caring Hands’, seriously. We’ve done some serious thinking about how we can improve not only our members’ quality of life, but add value to our medical fund.
We are proud to announce the launch of our Health Improvement Programme (HIP).
This programme is an exclusive rewards programme for Sizwe members, focusing on creating greater health awareness around core conditions, and incentivising members to adopt healthier lifestyles.
HOW THE HIP PROGRAM WORKS...

WHY THE HIP PROGRAM?
The programme encourages members to commit to regular health and wellness screening tests, offered at Wellness Days at regular intervals throughout the year.
THE HIP REWARDS SYSTEM...
For our Sizwe Corporate Clients’ convenience, Wellness Days are held on their premises, and address specific pertinent health issues such as flu prevention, hypertension, diabetes and more. Informative, theme-specific talks will be held, and leaflets and giveaways will be disseminated to all Sizwe Medical Fund members participating in the day’s activities.
SCREENING TESTS...
Free health screening tests will be offered on wellness days. These will include blood pressure measurements,
blood glucose tests and so on...
THE HIP CARD...
Each member will receive an HIP Rewards Card incorporating the member’s personal details and medical aid number.
The card lists the tests to be on offer throughout the year, and a section to record the member’s individual results or scores.
Personal health-related goals will be listed and discussed with members.
